SEEK MY FACE SAYS THE LORD

Good morning God's people,

This morning the Lord took me back to this word about seeking Him. Read and be edified.

Psalm 27:8


When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek.

In the Hebrew the word seek is BAQASH it is a prime route which means to search out by any method specifically in worship or prayer; By implication to strive after: ask, bag, beseech, desire, enquire, get, make inquisition, procure, make request, require, seek for.

I love the first part, which says: “by any means.” I feel this reflects the character of God in that whatever efforts we make individually to seek God, we can find Him. Why because, when you are willing to do something by any means, your heart is now invested. God is everywhere because He is omnipresent. He is just waiting for us to want Him. Whatever touches your heart, touches your whole life and can move you towards change. You become passionate. Your spirit man which is made after the image of God is already there, now your heart, (will mind and emotions, your soul realm) is now onboard and the body will follow. This reminds me of when Jesus answered” “ And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.” (Luke 10:27)

Your whole self has become engaged in seeking God. This will bring you into the presence of God. Use the word of God as the very foundation of seeking Him and this will begin to change you for the better. No one leaves the presence of God untouched.

So what are some of things you are doing personally to seek after God. As for me, I am fiercely seeking Him, it is the only way I know, which is to get my whole self involved. I believe if we truly want change, we will get the whole self involved. We will humble ourselves and allow God to guide the process of our lives. We will be willing to lean into the love of God, which gives us greater courage to move ahead.
