This Is the Hour of the Ezekiel Prophets

Even though Ezekiel was given the assignment to speak to God's people, God warns him that his task would not be an easy task. Why, because the people were impudent and hardhearted. God called them impudent meaning they were prideful, and contemptuous and have an utter disregard for others. This was a hard place for the prophet to minister in and a heardhearted people. God would strengthen him and make his face as an adamant harder than flint. Adamant is a rock said to be similarly hard as with a diamond. Ezekiel, God's watchman unto the house of Israel was to warn them of what thus says the Lord in order that they may hear and be spared. The charge given to Eekiel has great responsibility in so much that if he did not obey God and warn the people, the blood would be required of him.
Disobedience for the true watchmen of God in this hour has grave consequences. Their words are the marker between life and death. The line drawn in the sand. The difference between the narrow way and the broad road. Will the people of God follow after what God is speaking or will they instead follow after strange voices to their own peril? When you are called to speak words to the people of God, I refer to this as having to go into hard territory. They are a people who can be prideful in their knowledge of God and heardhearted in their tradition and resistant to change.
God is moving through His "church" she the "church" is His chosen vessel designed for the perfecting of the saints and she is the sickle for the endtime harvest. In the close of the chapter we see just how vital it is that the prophet only speak when God gives him a word. Signifying God is not approving of the multitude of these strange voices of our day who speak flattering words with no substance or wisdom or instruction from God. Let those who have an ear hear and those who will forbear forbear.
