TRUST IN THE LORD

Proverbs 3:5-6
5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

To trust means to let go and to let God. I mean truly know that whatever you are going through, you don't flinch, you are not shaken, you are not distracted by those things the enemy tries to magnify in your life. You don't lose sleep, you keep your joy. You cannot have this experience unless you allow the Holy Spirit to lead you and you focus on living by faith and walking in the spirit. If you live carnally minded, there is where the enemy has access.

How do we live spiritually minded? By fortifying your life according to God's instructions. Read and obey God's word, praying always, practicing the abiding presence of God. You are the temple of the Lord. Conversely, if you continually do things that strengthen the carnal man, then walking in the spirit is exponentially more difficult and is impossible. Live by faith in God and obedience to His word will develop your spirit man and cause you to live in unity with the Spirit. Trusting God is a natural progression as is having the peace of God. His Spirit, the Holy Spirit produces His character and nature in the Believer. His Spirit and our obedience is what makes us become more like Him. Become like Him is the Father's intention for all of His sons and daughters. Christ-likeness must be our desire.
